Massive Performances from Boston's Star Tandem Lead the Way
Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown combined for 62 points, 19 rebounds, and 13 assists in Game 1 of the 2024 NBA Finals, leading the Boston Celtics to a 120-115 victory over the Dallas Mavericks.
Tatum and Brown Dominate
Tatum finished with a team-high 31 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists, while Brown added 31 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 assists. The Celtics' star duo was simply too much for the Mavericks to handle, as they combined to shoot 25-of-49 from the field.
Mavericks Show Fight
Despite the loss, the Mavericks showed plenty of fight in Game 1. Luka Doncic led the way with 35 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists, while Tim Hardaway Jr. added 25 points.
Series Shifts to Boston
With the Celtics taking a 1-0 lead in the series, the action now shifts to Boston for Game 2 on Sunday. The Mavericks will need to find a way to slow down Tatum and Brown if they want to even the series.
